Queen's Baton relay

The Queen's Baton, designed by Michael Foley, contains message of Queen Elizabeth II to the athletes. It left Buckingham Palace on 29 October 2009 and arrived in India on 25th June 2010 after visiting the other 54 nations of the Commonwealth through the Wagah Border crossing from Pakistan.

Beautiful hub Jyoti. At least the whole event went off very well except for the corruptions at higher levels(that will be sorted out too).It was a milestone in the history of Indian sports.I won't be surprised if India wins the bid for 2020 Olympics.

This event certainly put an end to the doubts some pessimists had about the Indian Organizing committee.

Voted UP!
