Nineteenth Commonwealth games CWG Delhi 2010 has come to an end. Closing ceremony is going on right now at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. This is the third biggest stadium in India.
71 countries participated in this Commonwealth games. India has organized biggest ever sports event in the form of this CWG Delhi 2010.
CWG has continued from October 3 to October 14 2010. Australia, as usual has bagged highest medals and India the host India secured second position. This is the best ever performance for India in the Commonwealth Games. First time Indian sports team could bag more than one hundred medals in CWG.
Closing ceremony: Cultural events
Closing ceremony started at 7 PM at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in the presence of Dr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India. The closing ceremony started with the Naional song of India "Janaganamana".
Prince Edward, England, L K Advani and Shila Dixit, Chief Minister of Delhi were also present in the closing ceremony.
Indian cultural artists performed Indian marshal art "Agni". More than 800 artists performed the same. Vande Matram. National anthem of India was performed by more than 2000 school children with Indian classical dance and music.
All three wings of Indian armed forces Army, Navy and Air Force performed their musical band. People welcome their parade.
People greeted "Shera", the mascot of this nineteenth Commonwealth Games.

Next Commonwealth at Glasgow, Scotland
Next Commonwealth games will be organized at Glasgow, Scotland in 2014. Mr. Khanna, deputy Governor of Delhi handed over the charge to Lord Kelvin, Chairman, organizing committee, twentieth Commonwealth games.
Suresh Kalmadi and several others delivered speeches. Jesus Smith. a triple jump gold medalist has been declared best player of the nineteenth Commonwealth games, CWG Delhi, 2010.
The games was declared closed at 9.06 PM.
Indian musicians, singers and dancers performed in the stage in a colorful ceremony.
